Security threat

Foreign nations cannot be blamed if they issue - based on their threat perceptions - advisories to their citizens not to go to places which are not safe. As many as five countries like U.S, U.K, Canada, Australia and New Zea-land have advised their citizens not to travel to India which is, according to them facing  a threat from terrorists. In fact a such advisories frighten people and make them stay away from India. We cannot dismiss the advisories as scare-mongering.

Foreign countries government come to conclusions based on violent happening. For instance, there are intelligence reports that terrorists might strike several places in India and recently large quantities of RDX was found in Delhi which may lead to cut down the number of tourists to India. During last few months there has been a record number of tourists to Kashmir. India offers to tourists many and varied spots . It has all what the tourists want: Sun,sand, sea, snow, games. Not many countries of the world have so many attractions. The tourists department of the Union government should be transparent. If there is a terror threat. It should not hide the fact. It should however, scotch all the rum-ours and mischievous reports about dangers from terrorits.
